COMP style for apple software

logic is a music production software. i used the idea of sound waves, LPs, speakers, the rings concentrate the concept to the center while the outer rings disperse the "sound" out for others to hear.

Final Cut is an editing program. i used the wave shape from a film strip. i wan to show more motion than it looks like now. also the editing cuts are show in 3 levels with the longest being the final product (the bars also represent the interface of the program).

Aperture is a photo editing program. my concept was light. like a prism the camera take light in and captures and image/light to be spit back out. what you see is altered from the original image.

this is a very simple look. the logos and type aren't where i want them to be so please leave some feedback. thanx

I like your concept of using sound waves and etc for each design, I just feel like its something missing and that you can do something way more creative because I feel you could do so much more with these 3 programs.

well done! I like the colors you have chosen. There's a very good contrast between the dark gray and the bright colors. The symbols are very unique. Although they are simple, they have a good sense of movement. Typography is also good. One thing I would change about it is to make the titles a bit larger and change the typeface to something slimmer.

i like how simple they are but at the same time they almost feel too simple. (sorry if that doesn't make any sense) I think its missing something. maybe instead of one of each for the graphics, there are multiple, for example your speaker idea, maybe there is more then one.

For the speaker you can try different amounts of blur on some the rings so i t looks like the speaker is vibrating producing sound. This might give it some more depth and a sense of motion as well.

Same goes for the other graphics on the over covers, maybe make the layers of Final cut different opacities, with the top layer being opaque i.e. the final cut.

For aperture you can make the rays maybe gradient them from light to dark when they get to the center.

I like your ideas they seem well thought out. I think they need more rendering to look as you're describing them here. I feel like there is maybe some text missing from the cover or more copy or something.

Using simple illustrations to represent sound or light is a great idea, but the illustration you used for Aperture3 is a little hard to understand. Maybe you can add some design elements like a spectrum of colors or patterns to give it sharpness and clarity.

i think that the simple design looks good...maybe yeah a little gradient or depth might up the classy look but so far so good. i know that they're all probably the same size but the circle on the first one seems to take up more room than the other two, just because of the shape it is i guess. maybe if it's a little smaller they will all look equally balanced. i like them alot too.

The concept behind the ideas and illustrations are great. However, the illustrations feel a bit static. Try blurring certain portions or adding another element to it while at the same time keeping the simplicity of the design.

The description looks too long beneath the title. Try putting it in two lines or making the sentence shorter or making the title larger.

So far, the design as a whole is admirable and the hierarchy of the elements are well done. =)

so if this is not what you want them to be.... how can we make it better?

its readable. its colorful. so you have two things working for you.

the texture in the illustration is not whats working. pehaps more clean lines. it feels rough and illustrator brush, but i cant really zoom in on the jpg.

perhaps a more high tech approach is what is needed. this is cutting edge software, but the illustration style doenst feel cutting edge.

These are really cool. I like the colors on the black background.
Really good job!

The black background looks too dark to me but the layout seems really good. I like how you used those simple shapes to demonstrate your ideas.
